Approach

Humans are designed with thoughts and emotions, souls and bodies, and to be in relationship with others (heart, soul, mind, strength, and neighbors). When we understand how each area of life affects and is affected by the other areas, we can then make intentional choices the allows us to be healthier as individuals and in relationship. Lucas utilizes elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Bowen Family Systems theory to promote health and growth in line with the client's goals. Lucas is also trained in Narrative Exposure Therapy, a research-backed, highly effective format for engaging with symptoms of mental health trauma.
